The 7th grade mashed some strawberries and extracted DNA.
Strawberry juice was mixed with salt water soap. The mixture was strained into a clean cup. Ice cold isopropyl alcohol was carefully added to the mixture to separate the DNA from the other substances in the mixture.
The white string-like substance is DNA.
